Portugal, not exactly the country known for kite surfing. Well the land which is known as one of the better wave surfing locations, because they have waves there! The beaches on the west coast and some on the south coast are ideal for this.

But there are also beautiful spots for kite surfing on the coast. On the west coast near Lisbon there are a number of spots where you can launch the kite. Please note, because the water is slightly colder here because you are sailing directly on the large lake.
